Abstract

In this study, an efficiency enhancement coordination control strategy is proposed for modularized parallel DC-DC converters. The developed 1kW power converter is suitable for the interface in the micro-grid battery storage system. By control the power flow in each DC converter accordingly, the power conversion efficiency at light loads can be improved greatly. A 1kW prototype with three modularized parallel DC converters is constructed and corresponding experimental results are also provided. Compared with the conventional power-sharing control strategy, the efficiency at light loads can be improved to at least 90%.
