The effective use of STATCOM in the electrical system of the Republic of Tajikistan to reduce the losses of active power in the electric network

Abstract

The paper is reviewing the possibility and efficacy of high-power static VAR compensator (STATCOM) to reduce active power losses in the electrical system of the Republic of Tajikistan, taking into account the use of renewable energy sources (RES).
