Research and Application of a University Public Data Platform: Taking the Case of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture

Abstract

A Public data platform uses the experience of enterprise information integration for reference. It can provide data integration interfaces for existing business information systems. The interfaces are used for data conversion. Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture has developted more than a dozen information systems for all teachers and students. Through research of requirement analysis, the functional module of public data platform had been designed. It includes the client interface for logging data, the browse interface for query of basic data, the browse interface for query of multipurpose combination data and the interface for setting run permissions. The users can query with multipurpose combination query according to five thematic databases, which are the research and developing information, asset information, teacher information, student information, alumni information.
