Quo Vadis, Russian Investigation?

Abstract

The author analyzes the collective monograph: Investigative Activities edited by LL.D. N.A. Kolokolov, published in 2021 by Yurlitinform publishing house in three books: Anchetator, Quo vadis? and Plea Bargaining. The reviewer evaluates the scientists’ idea in understanding the essence of the investigative power, investigative staff, investigative activities, investigator as a holder of investigative power, its interrelation with the head of an investigative authority, prosecutor, interrogation authorities and departmental control, prosecutor’s supervision, judicial control.
