Abstract

An important person is eminent. Also, an eminent person is important. Thus, fame is alias and akin to eminence. Fame does not guarantee respect. But respect confirms fame. Thus, all respectable persons are famous, but all famous persons may not get respect. Where fame ends, respect begins. This is the essence of eminence.
