Abstract

During the operation of the Ultra-high Voltage DC (UHVDC) transmission project, the radio interference (RI) occurs due to the ignition of the converter valve. If not properly controlled, it will adversely affect the surrounding radio reception. Relying on ±1100 kV Zhundong-Wannan UHVDC project, the wideband model of the converter valve, the transformer, the filter and other equipment is established. And then, the research and calculation of RI levels of the converter station is carried out. The applicability of the radio interference limit of ±500 kV project for ±1100 kV converter station is also checked.
