Abstract

An orthostatic test for assessing the condition of the cardiovascular system during a change of the body position, and the LBNP test consisting in applying negative pressure to the lower part of the body are deployed in clinical practice and in scientific research. Both tests conducted at a time increase the scope of change in the cardiovascular system. In order to carry out medical examinations of pilots and military aviation candidates under conditions of orthostatic stress and ischemic hypoxia, caused by lower body negative pressure, and in order to identify the occurring changes, specialist, multiparameter measurement modules had to be developed. The measurement modules referred to in the paper, used for synchronous recording of biomedical signals, were standardized in terms of control, transmission and power supply, which allowed for their integration in one device being part of the ORTO-LBNP cyberphysical system for examining pilots.
