Abstract

The breakdown characteristics of air have been reported for many kinds of electrode systems, and moreover many aspects of discharge have been examined by computer simulation with Boltzmann equation or by a geometrical analysis of breakdowns with fractal dimension [1]. The aim to study discharge phenomena is to protect the materials suffering discharge and to use the phenomena constructively.
