The Effectiveness of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Course Given to Nursing Students: A Semi-Experimental Study

Abstract

% had difficulty in coming up with an idea. It was found that in-novativeness characteristics of the students changed from “sceptical” before education to “interrogator” after education and the students had high innovativeness levels. The result that students had higher post-ed-ucation IIS “opinion leadership” sub-scale mean scores and ESUS mean total scores than pre-education was found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that the entrepreneurship and innovativeness course given to nursing students in fourth year increased their entrepreneurship and innovativeness levels. The inclusion of this course in the curriculum of nursing department may contribute to individuals’ education and career and to nursing care process.
