Abstract

Organic materials have received considerable attention recently, due to their easy preparation and different variety. The most applicable field in optical storage is used as write-once media, such as recordable compact disk (CD-R). It is of great interest to explore new organic compounds, which can perform rewritable storage. It is well known that the photochromic organic compounds are always heat and light unstable. The phthalocyanine compounds have received considerable attention because of their good thermal and chemical stability which ensure a long storage life. We have reported the write-once performances and reversible optical property change of phthalocyanine thim films(1,2). In this paper the reversible phase chane and rewritable performances are presented.
