Abstract

In this article, we present a unique, miniaturized multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna for use with GPS, PCS, and Bluetooth wireless systems. The antenna consists of a defective ground structure (DGS) and three elliptical patch structures fed by a tapered microstrip feed line. The suggested antenna, which has a -10 dB bandwidth of 1.42-2.52 GHz, is printed on a compact 40x22 mm2 FR-4 substrate.
