Abstract

We present a new method dedicated to the localization of faces and eyes in color images. It combines different experts. A linear combination of three models (a connexionist model, an ellipse model, and a skin color model) is used for face localization. A product fusion of an eye model (Chinese transform) and a color model (modified GMM) find coarsely the eyes location. Then an "AND " operation between four sources of information extracted at these positions. This leads to a refined localization of the eyes.
