Abstract

This paper describes the evaluation of a flexible reconfigurable IP-based terminal architecture, supporting interoperation among macro and micro mobility management protocols. It is a generic component architecture that can intelligently change at runtime the operating mobility protocol, according to the available access networks. Further, it can transparently combine multiple protocols, for micro and macro mobility cooperation.
