Abstract
The paper is aimed at ensuring efficiency of the underwater acoustic OFDM modem for mobile units by means of the Doppler effect correction module. The Doppler effect correction methods are analyzed. The chirp-z transform is applied for the Doppler effect compensation. The algorithm provides frequency shift compensation for blocks of the wideband signal with OFDM. The main result of the work is the Doppler effect correction software module. The chirp-z transform algorithm provides less computation complexity for the OFDM system. In addition, this paper also presents the requirements for the Doppler effect estimation system to provide the given error rate of the communication system.
