Abstract

In this paper, a series of parallel-plate dielectric lens antennas (PPDLAs) is developed for the point-to-multipoint communication application. They have advantages of wideband and low profile. The beam scanning in the azimuth plane keeps almost unchanged. Besides, some of the developed PPDLAs have the ability to realize a limited beam scanning in the vertical plane. The substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology is employed in the design to construct the feeding network.
