Towards a synthetical approach for the construction of distributed applications

Abstract

The paper introduces a new approach which supports the designer of a distributed application in the specification and implementation of different aspects namely application-, management- and communication-oriented aspects. Since these aspects are interrelated in many ways, the authors also address different kinds of relationships. In particular, they sketch out how the management and communication requirements of a distributed application can be derived from the application objectives. Moreover, they illustrate an object-oriented realization of these different aspects and discuss several tools supporting the specification and implementation steps.<>
