Abstract
Nowadays, the global competition between companies is characterized by high innovation speed, shortened product life cycle as well as increasing customer expectations for the performance, the quality and the price of the product. Furthermore, most of the modern technical products are currently more and more complex. Then, system engineering is positioned today to be the perfect approach that allows engineers to design complex systems in an integrated way. In the system engineering process, architectural design consists in synthesizing solutions of the system that satisfies the requirements. However, system architectures need methods to generate relevant architectures and integrate discipline requirements. In this paper, we propose a new approach, that we call DMIV for Development, Mapping, Integration and Verification, by using the Set-Based Concurrent Engineering concept. After detailing the approach, we show, in an example, how we narrow the design space by integrating solutions and increasing requirement details.
