Abstract

This paper describes the research and development of a holographic antenna designed based on Floquet's Theorem by treating the antenna as a periodically loaded traveling-wave structure. The general idea is to suppress two undesirable side lobes, thus improving the efficiency of the antenna, by increasing the thickness and permittivity of the dielectric slab on which the microstrip quasi-periodic grating is etched.
