Abstract

A novel dual-band antenna is presented for wearable applications in this paper, covering 2.45 GHz (2.4- 2.485 GHz) and 5.8 GHz (5.725- 5.875 GHz) industrial scientific medical (ISM) bands. The proposed antenna applied by stacked structure can meet the demands of different polarization properties. Aims at off-body communication, a shorted circular patch is introduced to form a monopole-like radiation pattern with linear polarization property at 2.45 GHz.
