Abstract

The sewage system is the mechanism for efficiently dumping sewage from buildings and other locations. Sewage is collected using various components such as drains, manholes, pumping stations, and sanitary sewers. In cities, sewage is transported separately in sanitary sewers, while street runoff is managed by storm drains. In cities, the sewage system is accessible by a manhole.
