Abstract

Target locationing errors in multi-site radars have been analysed. It has been argued that receivers in multisite radar can be treated as passive sensors and hence the bearing locationing estimation can be applied to these radars as well. An example of a system with two receiver antennas is studied as being analogous to two passive sensors. Area of error region is also estimated based on a point target model as well as a realistic distributed target model and the probabilistic distribution of detection region with receive look angles is determined.
