Utilization of photovoltaic installation to optimize electric vehicle’s loads

Abstract

A discussion about possibilities of utilization of photovoltaic installation to optimize electric vehicle’s loads is presented in this paper. The purpose of the photovoltaic installation is to feed the low voltage loads inside the cabin of the vehicle. This can enable for a 12 V “start-stop” battery with lower capacity to be used. Thus, lowering some of the costs and expenses.
