Selection and use of fall protection and rescue equipment for work on towers

Abstract

This paper outlines fall protection and rescue alternatives for work on overhead power line towers. It focuses mainly on fall arrest systems which can be used for climbing towers, moving on tower members and working at various locations on and outboard from structures. These techniques may be used for work on station structures as well.<>
