Abstract

Cities are under threat from the effects of climate change. The consequences of climate change will primarily affect rivers in the form of increased droughts and floods. In view of global warming, protecting and restoring rivers should be a priority, along with reducing pollution. Strategic urban planning and engineering solutions, while playing an important role in climate change adaptation, will also improve forecasting and contribute to risk avoidance through planning controls.
