Abstract

In the purpose of developing traveling wave tubes (TWTs) with better performance, researchers have proposed a variety of novel slow wave structures (SWSs), such as overmoded SWSs, angular log-periodic SWSs1 and some SWSs loaded by photonic crystals2 et al. These novel SWSs are more complex and their dispersion characteristics are difficult to be speculated by existing theories.
