Abstract

To obtain actual responses of nonlinear terminations for lossy nonuniform transmission lines excited by external electromagnetic field, the equivalent circuits for lossy nonuniform transmission lines excited by electromagnetic pulse field is built. The radiation experiment platform of lossy nonuniform microstrip lines is built with a pulser injected into the GTEM cell. The simulation and experiment results are highly agreed when the terminations are resistances. However, because the SPICE model of transient voltage suppressor has some discrepancies with actual function, the response current peaks has some differences between simulation and experiment results, although they are all bellow the results without transient voltage suppressor.
