Applications of adhesives in transformer manufacturing

Abstract

The use of structural adhesives has become wide spread in many areas of manufacturing. This paper will discuss one specific application of structural adhesives to bond transformer tank covers. The procedure used in the evaluation and the acquired test data and conclusions will be presented. In addition other applications of structural adhesives for transformers, both in use and under investigation will be discussed.
