Polymer-plasticizer coatings for shear horizontal-surface acoustic wave sensors for long-term monitoring of BTEX analytes in liquid-phase

Abstract

This work investigates polymer-plasticizer blends to develop a new class of sensor coatings for long-term groundwater monitoring of organic compounds. Detection limits of 35 μg/L for benzene are reported, and data on long-term repeatability of the SH-SAW sensor response are presented.
