Abstract

The ZNS (Zoned NameSpace) interface shifts much of the storage maintenance responsibility to the host from the underlying SSDs (Solid-State Drives). In addition, it opens a new opportunity to exploit the internal parallelism of SSDs at both hardware and software levels.
