System reliability policy at Motorola Codex

Abstract

The paper describes the Motorola Codex experience of establishing a company-wide system reliability policy. It outlines the consistent policy requirements for each project, as well as the method for assessing the project maturity from the system reliability point of view. Practical numerical results are provided. It could serve as a guide for quality and reliability practitioners implementing similar policies.<>
