Abstract

The children with physical disabilities are posed with serious oral health problems in their life. The mute and deaf children face a difficulty in access to health care, as well as communication with doctors. There is general observation that these children are often reported to the clinics very late and the disease is usually found in the advanced stages. This leads to increased morbidity in such patients. Hence the health care practitioners often face a challenge to manage differently-abled children successfully. This article presents the case of a 9-year-old deaf and dumb girl with left-sided facial swelling, diagnosed with bilateral dentigerous cysts.
