Transaction Level Energy Modeling of Polyhedral Process Networks

Abstract

The following paper shows research in the field of energy modeling of polyhedral process networks that describe streaming embedded systems. Such networks are easy to simulate with SystemC and the timing information can also be used to simulate consumed energy. An emphasis on the exchange of communication data tokens between processing elements is made here and hence the title contains the widely known term transaction level modeling (TLM). For a high-level system synthesis an open-source framework is used, called Daedalus.
