Abstract
A review of the various techniques of using phase conjugation mirrors to improve the quality of high power CO2 lasers is presented. Emphasis will be on the problem of energy and power scaling of phase conjugation mirrors. Experimental results obtained by various groups are discussed and possible future directions are pointed out.
