Abstract
When applied to thermally thick samples, the Rosencwaig and Gersho's theory1 gives simple expressions of the amplitude and phase of the photoacoustic signal, which enable the optical absorption coefficient of the liquids to be measured, using either the phase 2 or the amplitude of the acoustic signal3.
