Abstract

With the further opening of the electricity retail market, the market power monitoring in the retail market operation and management mechanism needs to be improved and supplemented for creating a benign operating market operation environment. By systematically classifying the types of market power, and then combining the market power behaviours with SCP analysis method to develop market power monitoring indicators and assigning weights to the indicators based on the entropy weighting method and through specific examples, verifying the effectiveness of the monitoring method, which could provide some reference for market operators to manage the retail market.
