Coded Aperture Imaging Techniques: from the Depths of Space to the Depths of the Human Body

Abstract

A brief history of coded apertures has been presented. Several building methods, properties and applications of multi pinhole coded apertures (MPCA) were examined. It was concluded that MPCA is a promising area of visualization. However, there are a number of problems and difficulties associated both with the choice of most appropriate coding device for the task and the practical application of one.
