What makes an effective healthcare leader? Results of the best leadership practices research in healthcare in the UK

Abstract

Understanding what makes an effective healthcare leader is important as many years of research and practice indicate that there is a direct correlation between leadership effectiveness and organisational performance. This paper reports the results of a research study, which looks at which leadership behaviours as measured by the LEA 360TM are the most important indicators of effectiveness in healthcare leaders.
