Levantamento etnobotânico de plantas medicinais no bairro Massaguaçu, Caraguatatuba - SP

Abstract

Abstract Knowledge about medicinal plants often represents the only therapeutic option for some communities. Ethnobotany and ethnopharmacological search record and document traditional knowledge and information about the empirical uses of plants, which are in clear process of disappearance and still underlies this redemption shall be made with the rural communities. This study aimed to make the ethnobotanical survey of the knowledge and use of medicinal plants in Massaguacu neighborhood, Caraguatatuba, SP. And 35 families with 64 species of medicinal plants were catalogued Regarding the plant parts used in the preparation of home remedies the community has mentioned leaves, stem, flower, fruit, root, tuber, seed and bark. The use of medicinal plants in Massaguacu neighborhood was directed towards curing diseases such as influenza and the common cold. Key-words: Ethnobotany.
