Abstract
A dual-band structure-resued antenna with large frequency ratio and high isolation is presented. The antenna is consists of a 4 × 4 substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed slots antenna array working at millimeter-wave (mmW) band and a filtering patch antenna. The overall structure of the mmW array is reused as the radiator of the filtering patch antenna at S-band. To improve the channel isolation, SIW with highpass performance is used at mmW antenna and a patch antenna with bandpass filtering performance is used at S-band. Simulated results show that the proposed antenna works at 3.37 GHz to 3.62GHz and 24.33 GHz to 27.59 GHz with |S11| < -10 dB. The isolation level between two channels is 130 dB at S-band and 60 dB at mmW band, respectively.
