Abstract

This short paper proposes a small wearable flexible ultrasonic sensor based on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) to detect the blood flow velocity. Such system includes the structure of the sensor for transmitting ultrasound, signal receiving and digital signal processing. Through the processing and analysis of the received signal, the velocity of the simulated blood flow can be initially obtained. Therefore, the fabricated sensor could be used to realize real-time and continuous monitoring of the blood flow velocity.
