Specific features of government support for agricultural insurance in the Russian Far East

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of contemporary government support of agricultural insurance in the Russian Federation. It includes the key stages of agriculture system development and reforms in 1993-2021. This article contains the results of government support for insurance implementation in the crop and animal husbandry in the Russian Far East in 2019–2021.The study revealed that agricultural insurance in the Russian Far East is actively developing. However, the Far-Eastern regions are at the bottom of rating among the federal districts due to the limited areas suitable for agriculture and overestimated insurance rates.
