Abstract

This study is done to see the effect of separating layer on the Bismuth based metamaterial. In this research study a simple metal-insulator-metal metamaterial structure is considered to observe the absorbance. A large wavelength band is considered from 200 to 1000 nm which covers UV-Vis-NIR region. Three insulating materials were used with four different thicknesses for the study and it is observed that only an optimize thickness of insulating material provides large operating bandwidth and high absorbance.
