Abstract

GHz MMIC Transmitter/Receivers for 16QAM Digital Microwave Systems are described for the first time. Key monolithic circuits to this system are designed and fabricated employing uniplanar MMIC technology. The overall perfonnance of the transmitter and receivers constructed with these MMICs is examined, and confirmed to be satisfactory for 16QAM systems.
