[Rupture of intracranial aneurysm during angiography. Report of a case and review of the literature].

Abstract

A case of rupture of an intracranial aneurysm during angiography is presented. The possible mechanisms and pathological aspects of this complication are discussed. A review of the literature was done, and correlations were made. It was found that rupture in this condition is more frequent among aneurysms of the carotid artery, in female patients, with a high incidence of mortality.
