Therefore, we combined CS with polydimethylsiloxane (CS-PDMS) to develop a facile method for preparing the superhydrophobic soot-like coating without any surface chemical modification. The water contact angle was upto 160°. Abstract
Candle soot (CS) has been considered as an excellent superhydrophobic material, but natural CS is fragile and can be moved away easily by water drops.
