Magnetically insulated line oscillators (MILOs) are crossed-field devices capable of generating intense bursts of high power microwaves. A typical MILO operates with a low (5-10 Ohm) impedance, and uses a large drive current (10s of kA) to generate a self-insulating magnetic field.
