Abstract
In order to quantify the operating performance in terms of power quality of the electrical networks, Health Index (HI) plays an essential role to provide overall health of the assets for monitoring the condition of the assets, providing technical justification for investment need, and managing for maintenance and replacement plans. This paper presents a method to estimate Power Quality Health Index for comparison among electric utility substations in a consistent manner. In this study, the integration between Power Quality Index (PQI) and Event Index (EI) is developed to not only estimate Power Quality Health Index for electrical substation but also to report the overall power quality performance for benchmarking purposes. The Power Quality information used in the research is from Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand (PEA) substation at 22 kV System.
