Comparison by Gender of Muscle Power of Knee Extensors and Flexors of Athletics Athletes from the National Training and Athletics Center of the University of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil

Abstract

The objective of this study was to compare the muscular power of the extensors and flexors of track and field athletes from the National Training and Athletics Center of the University of Fortaleza by male and female gender and not by event. Ten women and six men were evaluated, totaling 16 athletes, using the Cybex® brand isokinetic. The isokinetic evaluation has been used in many studies to evaluate the potency among other valences.
