This paper analyzes the scheme by means of both mathematics and simulation technologies. Abstract

This paper proposes a new routing scheme for mobile Ad hoc networks .. EAAODV (Energy-Aware AODV), which combines the on-demand routing capability of Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector routing protocol with a distributed topology discovery mechanism - mobile agents. Utilizing the interior characteristics of the mobile agent technology, EAAODV obtains the dynamic energy distribution in the network, thus reaching the balance condition.
