Abstract

in English This report offers an insight into the conference held by the Society for Disability Studies from 17-20 April 2021 at Ohio State University. Illustrating the broad spectrum of topics that were negotiated in 45 sessions, selected conference contents on the topics of “Crip time” and “Global Disability Studies” are outlined here. The conference, held online via Zoom, managed to achieve a high level of accessibility through reading out community guidelines, providing access copies, Sign Language interpretation and Live Captioning, as well as a conference homepage, which was clearly structured and easy to navigate. This conference, thus, serves as a positive example for future events.
